Kowan Still Worker
(Global Sales Agents)
Virtually Noise & Vibration Free Pile Pressing Machines
Kowan Still Worker Pile Pressing Machines Sales and Hire
Watson & Hillhouse introduced the first Kowan Still Worker into Europe in 1990 and since then has completed more than 750 contracts throughout Europe and sold more than 30 machines. Today Watson & Hillhouse holds the global sales agency for the Still Worker range and maintains a fleet of machines for hire.
The Still Worker range of pile pressing machines are virtually noise and vibration free meaning steel piles can be driven as close as 500mm to existing structures or services. The Still Worker operates at ground level with no piling gates making it a very safe method of operation. The machines use a wireless radio control providing a broad range of vision for the operator and a safe working environment. They are light and compact requiring only a small crane for pile pitching and are ideal for height restricted sites.
The Still Worker range includes the WP-100 and WP-150 ‘U’ section pile pressing machines, the revolutionary ZU-100 which can drive and extract both ‘U’ and ‘Z’ section piles, In addition to boasting dual pile section executions, the ZU-100 is also capable of driving the newer wider section sheet piles. The ‘Z’ pile range is from 575mm to 700mm width and the ‘U’ piles range from 700mm to 750mm width. There is also the WP-150 ‘P’ and PZ-1200 range of tube pile machines capable of installing piles from 600mm diameter up to 1200mm and the WP-100AC with integral auger for installing U piles.
Watson & Hillhouse has also developed a piling water jetting unit with WOMA GB to use in junction with the Kowan Still Workers. The WOMA-W&H SJ150 can be used with any piling system, however its primary use is with the Kowan Still Worker to enhance performance in dense granular soils and stiff cohesive strata. Watson & Hillhouse has an exclusive global agency agreement for the WOMA-W&H SJ150 water jetters.
